Stolen Bulldog From Monroeville Found In Cleveland
MONROEVILLE (KDKA) ―
An English bulldog stolen from a pet store in Monroeville has been found.
Last weekend, someone broke into the Petland at the Miracle Mile shopping center and stole the 15-week-old dog, which sells for more than $4,000.
Tips from the public and a microchip implanted in the pup led a Pennsylvania State Constable to Cleveland.
Officer Ross Swords tells KDKA that the person who stole the dog had every intention of selling him.
"It was stolen by a male. He fled to Ohio to drop it off with some family and the family members decided they didn't want it and then finally someone did take it in and it ended up being sold to somebody else," Swords explained. "And then we went on a tip from this person who bought it originally."
Petland decided to let Swords adopt the dog. He's going to name him Justice.
Meanwhile, there are some leads but there have been no arrests yet.
