Sidney The Penguin Debuts At National Aviary

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― The National Aviary has a new addition just in time for the Pittsburgh Penguins playoff run.

Eight-week-old Sidney, the African penguin, is set to make his public debut on Saturday.

Sidney, the bird, is of course, named after Sidney Crosby, Pittsburgh Penguins team captain.

The little penguin was born in February at the Erie Zoo, and has spent the last few weeks settling in here in Pittsburgh.

Sidney joins four other African penguins at the Aviary including Stanley and Patrick.
