St. Paul Seminary Students Plan Trip To See Pope

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Several of the young men, studying to be priests at Saint Paul Seminary in East Carnegie, are venturing to Washington D.C. for Pope Benedict XVI's visit to America.

They say they will attend when the Pontiff celebrates Mass at Nationals Park.

"I'm expecting a lot of youth, a lot of young people who are just energetic and excited," said Michael Sedor, of Upper Saint Clair.

Dan Gallagher, of Sheraden, says he knows about that energy and he's seen Pope Benedict in person before.

"The energy of the other people, you feed off of that too, and you realize that there is something to all that," he said. "It's not just me who is getting excited by this, but many, many other people."

The men say they have been moved by the Pope's writings.

They add that they believe the Pope can deliver an important message that they hope other young people are open to hear.

"I think simply that God loves them," says Michael Seeger, of Carrick.

Stay with KDKA for much more on Pope Benedict XVI's visit to America.
