Woman Found Guilty In Boyfriend's Stabbing

PITTSBURGH (AP) ― A Pittsburgh woman is guilty of stabbing her boyfriend to death during an argument over a cold, uneaten bagel.

Allegheny County Judge John Zottola convicted 23-year-old Patrice Rogers of voluntary manslaughter in the Feb. 25 killing of her live-in boyfriend, 30-year-old Geno Crenshaw.

Police say the argument between Rogers and Crenshaw began when she didn't eat a bagel he had bought her because it was cold.

Police say Rogers told them that Crenshaw was upset about this, calling her ungrateful and hitting her from behind.

Police say Rogers made a backhanded motion with a kitchen knife, stabbing Crenshaw and puncturing his heart.

Rogers' defense argued that the stabbing was an act of self-defense.
