Firefighter Treated After Wilkins Twp. Fire

WILKINS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) ― A firefighter was treated for dehydration after an apartment building fire in Wilkins Township Saturday morning.

The fire broke out shortly after 10 a.m. at the Penn Towers on the 10th floor.

There was one person in the apartment at the time and they were able to get out safely.

No other injuries were reported and residents are expected to be let back into the building this afternoon.

There was some concern, as there are elderly people who live in the building, but firefighters were able to assist them in getting out of the building.
