Steelers Honor Veterans At Heinz Field

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Heroes were hailed for their bravery today at Heinz Field and it wasn't the Steelers.

In fact the Steelers were the ones saying thanks to veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The veterans got the chance to meet their favorite players and even throw the football around with them.

"The most difficult thing coming back is to feel like you can fit into the community again and this is a great way to show, yes we do fit into the community," said veteran Robert Bush of Grove City.

The Steelers, including Ben Roethlisberger, Jeff Reed and others, took time out of their bye week to entertain the veterans.
