SLIPPERY ROCK TOWNSHIP (KDKA) ― Authorities say three people were inside a truck when went into a creek in Lawrence County.

It happened on private property in Slippery Rock Township, which is off of Route 422.

Slippery Rock VFW Asst. Fire Chief Bob Ringler says a young girl who was with her parents in the vehicle popped the clutch and the vehicle went over the cliff.

"They ended upside down. They fell probably 30ft.-40 ft. amongst big rocks and boulders and the truck was upside down in the water," he explained. "They were very lucky someone didn't end up drowning."

One of the females was taken to a local hospital. Two others only sustained minor injuries.
