Ramp To Highland Park Bridge To Reopen

MORE: Traffic Conditions

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― There is some good news for drivers traveling on local roads.

The northbound ramp to the Highland Park Bridge on Route 28 is about to reopen.

PennDOT says they are planning to reopen the ramp by the end of the week.

The ramp, which carries northbound traffic across the Highland Park Bridge and provides an exit ramp to Sharpsburg and Aspinwall, has been closed for a few months.

Also, PennDOT's Jim Struzzi says that the outbound lane closure through the Churchill interchange scheduled for this weekend on the Parkway East has been canceled.

However, the on-ramp from Rodi Road to the inbound Parkway East at the Penn Hills interchange will be closed. It will run from Friday at 9 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m.

Also, the ramp from the Turnpike westbound to the inbound Parkway East at the Penn Hills interchange will also be closed during the same time period.
