Dozens Of Tires Slashed In Brookline

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Some residents of Brookline awoke this morning to find their tires flattened.

At least a dozen cars had the tires slashed in the 700 block of Rossmore Street.

"I heard the doorbell this morning and I came out and there's a police officer and he said there were tire slashings all up and down the road," said Rem Miller. "So, I came out and guess mine was hit pretty bad, three out of four, guess these kind of things happen."

Flatbush and Bellaire Avenues were hit as well.

"I went to go to work and I came out, started my car, went in the passenger side... I didn't think anything until I went to leave and I said 'Oh, I'm not going anywhere. I got two flat tires," said Melinda Downey.

While most residents agreed that this is probably nothing more than a teenage prank, it still made for a frustrating and expensive morning for many.

Police say they are continuing to investigate.
