Beaver Co. Workers Hit The Picket Lines

BEAVER (KDKA) ―

A late-night negotiation session has failed to stop Beaver County workers from walking off the job this morning to hit the picket lines.

Public works, courthouse and 911 center employees say they have been working without a contract for three years.

So today they are staging a one day strike.

Workers at the 911 center say they agreed to report to work in the interest of public safety.

Also, officials say court cases will not be affected, and everyone is expected back to work on Monday.
