Shifting Soil Closes Washington County Store

SOUTH STRABANE TWP. (KDKA) ― A home store in Washington County is closed today due to the shift of soil under the building.

It's happening at the Bed Bath and Beyond store in South Strabane Township.

The store at the Foundry on Washington Road is closed according to a company official because of unsettled, shifting soil.

There are two other stores in that center, J.C. Penney and Ross Dress for Less.

Officials at J.C. Penney say they have been cleared by authorities to remain open.
