Police Seek Two Suspects In Wilkinsburg Shooting

WILKINSBURG (KDKA) ― Police are describing a fatal shooting in Wilkinsburg as an execution, KDKA-TV's Marty Griffin reports.

According to eyewitnesses, a man wearing sunglasses walked into Ezell's Barber Shop and shot a man waiting for a haircut in the face.

"Guy came in, told everyone to get down and I turned around and heard gunshots," Lamar Ezell, owner of the shop, said. "That's pretty much it. I didn't see his face or nothing."

Allegheny County Police say the shooter was a passenger in a car that drove up to the business.

"He walked right in, shot him and just ran back out the door," Allegheny County Police Assistant Supt. James Morton said.

Police don't think the man was shot over money.

"It doesn't appear to be a robbery because the victim had a large amount of money in his pockets that fell to the floor when he was shot," Morton said.

Ezell has been cutting hair at the shop for 13 years. He says the victim was a good guy and is concerned about the victim's family.

He is also worried about his business.

"It's frustrating. I mean, somebody coming in doing something like this. You got customers in there – you know it's very frustrating because you don't know what's going to happen after this," he said.

Police are now looking for the driver of the car and the shooter. They are both described as black males in their early-to-mid 20's.

Investigators say the shooting may be drug-related.
