Police To Issue Warrant In Point Breeze Homicide

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Police have identified a suspect and are planning to issue a warrant in a deadly shooting that happened late Monday night at a gas station in North Point Breeze.

The shooting happened just before 10:45 p.m. at a Sunoco in the 7700-block of Penn Avenue.

Korey Johnson, 20, was shot and killed in a purple GMC Yukon parked at the gas pumps. 

Police believe the shooting was drug related.  Investigators have not released the suspect's name.

A female passenger from Johnson's vehicle was inside the convenience store at the time of the shooting.

Police say Johnson had been targeted before. He was involved in a shooting in Wilkinsburg back in April that claimed the life of 12-year-old Kholen Germany.
