911 Dispatcher's Wife Injured In Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Officials continue to investigate after someone opened fire in the Lincoln-Lemington section of Pittsburgh on Saturday night.

It happened near the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Lemington Avenue.

Two people were injured including a man who was shot in the foot and a woman who was grazed in the hip.

The 911 dispatcher who took the initial call about the incident later discovered it was wife who was one of the people grazed by a bullet.

"They said later on in the call that it was a female shot down in the front and it was a male shot in the back of the bar," said Larry Brown, the dispatcher. "Knowing my wife was in the area, I made a few phone calls trying to reach her and I was unable to reach her. I finally got a call from one of my friends saying it was my wife indeed who actually got shot up here."

Officials say neither of the victims' injuries are life-threatening.

Police were searching for a brown or beige minivan that left the scene heading towards Washington Avenue.
