Icy Weather Blamed In Frazer Twp. Fatal Accident

FRAZER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) ― Icy conditions are being blamed for a deadly accident involving a PennDOT salt truck and a van on Wednesday.

The crash happened on Wednesday afternoon along the Route 908 extension, in Frazer Township.

The driver of the van, identified as Charles Aymar Jr., 63, of Tarentum, was killed.

Investigators say the salt truck driver apparently lost control of the vehicle because of a snow squall, then crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with the van.

The PennDOT truck driver wasn't hurt in the accident.
