Farrell Councilman Questions Saggy Pants Fad

FARRELL (KDKA) ― A clothing trend is being called into question in one local community.

A city councilman in Farrell says saggy pants are almost obscene and wants to know what can be done about them.

The topic came up during a meeting and ended up on the front page of the local newspaper.

The councilman asked if the most extreme examples of droopy pants violated any law.

Young people who spoke to KDKA say they should be allowed to wear what they want.

But some parents say they wish the town could do something about it.

The councilman did not want to comment.

The deputy mayor tells KDKA the conversation about the saggy pants ended Monday night when the solicitor said there was nothing they could do about it.
