Restaurant Manager Turns Tables On Would Be Robber

UNITY TWP. (KDKA) ― A young woman foiled a robbery attempt inside an Eat 'N Park restaurant on Route 30 in Unity Township, Westmoreland County.

Police say 20-year-old Julian Upholster of Latrobe confronted 18-year-old manager Amanda Jury with a knife and demanded money around 3 a.m.

But Jury fought back holding onto Upholster's wrists while a cook took the knife away and a waitress called police.

"I had her by the wrists in a death lock and she tried to get away," said Jury.

Police say Jury even managed to hold Upholster there until officers arrived.

She suffered several bites but was treated and released.

Upholster remains behind bars.
