Pittsburgh Drivers Rated Most Courteous

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― A new survey by AutoVantage is giving drivers in the 'Burgh a pretty polite distinction.

According to the National Road Rage Survey, Pittsburgh drivers are the most courteous in the country.

The cities were measured by a number of criteria including how many people chat, text, tailgate and drive too fast.

Portland and Seattle came in behind Pittsburgh as the second and third most courteous.

But drivers in Miami, Boston and New York ranked last as the least courteous cities.

One New York City native, here in Pittsburgh, said there is definitely a difference between drivers here and in the Big Apple.

"In New York, you expect everyone to do the wrong thing so you drive very defensively, so therefore everyone moves along," said Jon Lucadamo. "Here in Pittsburgh, everyone's so nice it frustrates me so much. I don't know what they're going to do next, let me in, continue, wave me on. So I get very frustrated."
