Man Accused Of Taking Pictures In Local Restrooms

GREENSBURG (KDKA) ― State Police are asking business owners and potential victims in three counties if they have information about a bathroom photographer who has been taking pictures and video of men in public restrooms.

It's been going on possibly for the past three months.

State Police were called to a Walmart in Latrobe recently.

"A male went into the bathroom in the Walmart and as he was using the bathroom, he looked up and saw that there was a hand holding a recording device over the bathroom stall wall," explains Trooper Jeanne Martin. "When he finished, he went out and he confronted this person and he contacted us at the state police. What we've been able to determine is this is not the only incident which has occurred."

Investigators say it may also have happened in Monroeville, Murrysville and Indiana.

When police inspected the man's camera, they found additional locations at which bathroom stalls were photographed and put on a computer.

"We were able to get a hold of this recording device and find that there were numerous incidents of men being videotaped using restroom facilities," Martin said.

State Police say the suspect is not in custody right now and that they are trying to piece together where the other incidents occurred.

"Once we get all of these things identified, then at that time we will file the charges," Martin said.

The suspect is described as a 29-year-old white male, 5'11", weighing about 200 pounds. Anyone with information about the case should contact Pennsylvania State Police in Greensburg.
