Public Speaks Out On Planned Lawrence Co. Casino

MAHONING TOWNSHIP (KDKA) ― A public hearing today is giving local residents the opportunity to make their voices heard about plans for a new casino and racetrack project in Lawrence County.

The hearing was held this morning at the Mahoning Township Community Center in Hillsville.

According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Gaming Control Board was expected to hear from the public on the plans for Valley View Downs.

Officials say at least one more public meeting is being planned.

If it is built, Valley View Downs would be Pennsylvania's seventh race track-casino.
