Crews Make Progress On Power Outages After Storms

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― The storms on Wednesday night knocked out power to thousands of people all across western Pennsylvania, but now about 1,000 remain in the dark.

Officials with Duquesne Light reported that as of 10 p.m. that they had about 1,000 without power.

The most are in the eastern suburbs of Allegheny County.

Officials say they hope to have service restored to the eastern suburbs by Midnight and 8 p.m. for the North and South Hills.

Also, Allegheny Power has about 100 customers without power – mostly in Westmoreland County.
