Thousands of homes across the Pittsburgh area remain without power following Sunday night's strong winds.
Wind gusts up to 80 mph downed trees and knocked out electricity across Western Pennsylvania.
After more than 12 hours without electricity, Brighton Heights resident Sheila Jones was angry.
"I have food and medicine to take. I understand there is a flood down there and they need the gas man and light man too, but so do we, here," said Jones.
The electricity went out moments after the game started between the Steelers and the Cleveland Browns last night.
"We had just started putting the kids up to bed and my husband was looking forward to sitting on the couch and finishing the game with the peace and quiet. And no game. No power," said Mary Clark, who was spending the day at home with her kids and no electricity.
Despite the inconvenience, Clark is taking things in stride.
"What can you do," said Clark. "We have it far better than a lot of people. So I assume within the next few hours, we'll have power. Wishful thinking, perhaps."
Crews hope to have most electricity restored by Tuesday at the latest.
Here are the latest power outage numbers as of 2 p.m.:
- Duquesne Light 47,000 locally
- Allegheny Power 49,000 state-wide
