Power Restored In Oakland

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Some parts of South Oakland were without power, leaving about 500 residents and business along Forbes Avenue in the dark.

A contractor reportedly working outside a substation dug up two underground cables Tuesday, causing the power outage.

The power outage caused heavy delays for traffic trying to get into Oakland this morning.

At one point, traffic on the outbound Parkway East was backed up from the Forbes Avenue ramp all the way to downtown due to a disabled tractor trailer in the right lane.
