Some residents in the city of Pittsburgh have filed complaints about the lack of snow removal since a snowstorm hit the city over the weekend.
Many of the secondary roads are snow covered and Mayor Luke Ravenstahl rode along with crews Monday night to see what they're up against.
The city crews still have some work to do because another four to eight inches of snow is expected to start falling this afternoon.
Road crews have been working tirelessly, trying to clear the roads of snow, ice and slush.
City officials said Public Works crews will look to continue treating roads with the goal of having every secondary street treated before today's storm.
"Men and women in Public Works are doing everything they can to try to get the streets cleaned as quickly as possible. We were on some of the secondary roads for the first time and I think that's good news," Ravenstahl said.
In addition, PennDOT is continuing to ask motorists to avoid any unnecessary traveling on the roads which will help crews in their clean up efforts.
