Woman Gives Birth On Parkway North

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― A woman gave birth on the Parkway North near PNC Park during the morning commute on Tuesday.

According to Pittsburgh dispatchers, a 35-year-old woman was 33 weeks along in her pregnancy and was on her way to the hospital at the time of the birth.

A dispatcher named Samantha helped to keep the father calm until paramedics could arrive at the scene.

The baby was born at 8:32 a.m. and the mother and child were transported to Magee-Women's Hospital.
