The investigation continues today into the double murder of a man and woman overnight in Stowe Township.
The shooting happened around 4 a.m. along Valley Street, which is near Sto-Rox High School.
Allegheny County Police say a 45-year-old woman and her 44-year-old boyfriend were shot in the woman's home.
Police questioned 55-year-old Wendell Jones, who turned himself into police earlier. Officials say Jones is the estranged boyfriend of the woman who was killed.
Authorities say someone broke into the home, and then shot the couple.
Meanwhile, family members say the shooting deaths are particularly upsetting because the victim had recently taken out a protection from abuse order against Jones due to alleged physical abuse.
The PFA was filed in May, but it was later withdrawal.
The names of the victims have not yet been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
