New Movie Theater Opens At Settlers Ridge Center
ROBINSON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) ―
A new movie theater debuted in Robinson Township.
The Cinemark theater opened Friday in the Settlers Ridge Center.
If you want a snack for the movie, concessions abound.
"We have Edy's ice cream as well as some Starbucks coffee drinks," Jennifer Frederick, a spokesperson for the theater, said.
They also have super nachos and Otis Spunkmeyer cookies, hot dogs, popcorn, pretzel bits and much more.
Moviegoers can pick out food on their own, cafeteria style.
They have 16 theaters, including two XD extreme digital theaters with a huge screen.
"It's floor to ceiling, wall to wall, 25 by 45," Frederick said.
The seats have arm rests that can be lifted out of the way and there's a 28-speaker sound system.
"You can feel the seats rumble when you're in a big scene, when there's a lot of action going on so
you feel like you're in the scene," she said.
The XD cinema tickets cost about $2.25 more than regular theater tickets.
It will offer discounts on Tuesdays and early-bird specials for the first matinee.
