No Decision Yet From Jury In Wecht Trial

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― After three days of deliberations there is still no decision from the jury deliberating in the fraud trial of Dr. Cyril Wecht, the former Allegheny County Coroner.

Deliberations have been ongoing now for 16½ hours over three days.

On Wednesday, the judge refused the jury's request to see the specific federal laws Wecht is accused of violating.

Deliberations got underway on Tuesday when jurors met for six hours.

Wecht is accused of using his public office for his private practice when he was Allegheny County Coroner. He is facing 41 counts.

Jury deliberations will resume Tuesday after the Easter holiday.
