Police Nab Wanted Ice Cream Man In Ohio
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ―
Authorities In Defiance, Ohio, have arrested an ice cream man from Pittsburgh who seems to have a difficult time staying out of trouble.
Nazzareno Didiano was being sought for violating conditions of his bond. He was supposed to stay away from a woman he had a confrontation with last year, but he's accused of intimidating her and her daughter.
The incident happened in Mellon Park last summer. Didiano was originally charged with simple assault and criminal mischief after police say Didiano pulled out a knife and in an expletive-laced tirade got out of his truck and slashed the tire on an ice cream truck of a former co-worker turned competitor because he believed she was usurping some of his business.
Didiano's troubles with the law didn't start with the ice cream truck tire slashing incident. In 2005, he was convicted of simple assault, put on probation and ordered to attend anger management classes. At the time, he was allegedly in a park selling ice cream and he punched a 13-year-old boy who complained about the price of a cone.
Didiano responded to the criticism saying the boy didn't need any ice cream anyway because he was already too fat.
There's no word on when Didiano will be extradicted.
