Woman Charged For Sending Kids To School With Lice
BELLE VERNON (KDKA) ―
A local mother is behind bars today, facing charges after police say she sent her kids to school with head lice.
According to police, Nicole Holmes from Belle Vernon was warned not to send her children back to school until their head lice was gone.
But they say Holmes sent the kids back to school before the issue was resolved.
That's when police say they were contacted by school officials.
Holmes is now facing charges of child endangerment.
She's currently in jail awaiting a hearing later this week.
