Security is tight downtown as parts of the area were shut down late Wednesday ahead of the G-20 Summit.
There are now only three entry points into the city, as the security checkpoints were set up at midnight.
From the north, there is one at the Roberto Clemente Bridge.
In the east, it is set up at Fifth Avenue and Ross Street.
And in the south, the public can enter via the Smithfield Street Bridge.
Only residents with proper identification, mass transit vehicles, delivery trucks and emergency vehicles can drive downtown.
Several streets in the area of the Omni William Penn Hotel were closed even earlier Wednesday evening.
Police say all closed streets should be reopened by 7 p.m. Friday.
As for public transportation, Port Authority spokesperson Jim Ritchie says there have been no problems so far this morning.
