Funeral services are being held today for a local mother who was gunned down while walking home from the store in November.
Cheryl Wilds, 47, of Pittsburgh's North Side, was shot in the neck just a few days before Thanksgiving in the Perry North neighborhood.
She died of her injuries just last week.
Wilds had gotten off a bus and was walking home with her Thanksgiving groceries when 18-year-old Jayquan Massey allegedly opened fire.
Massey reportedly told police he was shooting at an SUV and hit Wilds accidentally.
Wilds' funeral service is being held at 11 a.m. in the Cornerstone Baptist Church in East Liberty.
