Local Food Pantries Seeing Greater Demand

KENNEDY TWP. (KDKA) ― As higher prices continue to crunch family food budgets, local food pantries are seeing a greater demand.

But at the same time, fewer people can afford to give them as much money.

At the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank in Duquesne, they recently saw 1,700 fewer individual donors giving money.

Nancy Jones, from the North Hills Community Outreach Food Pantry, says she has more people signing up for the pantry.

Fortunately, food drives for both of these organizations have gone well.
