Flash Flooding Closes Local Roads

Power Out In Fort Pitt Tunnels

The National Weather Service has extended its flash flood warning for Allegheny, Beaver, Somerset and Westmoreland counties until 1 a.m.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Flash flooding is causing problems in Allegheny County.

The National Weather Service has extended its flash flood warning for Allegheny, Beaver, Somerset and Westmoreland counties until 1 a.m.

According to PennDOT, the 10th Street Bypass is closed, the Penn Hills off-ramp is closed in both directions, the outbound Edgewood off-ramp is closed due to flooding and the power is out in the Fort Pitt Tunnels.

Route 22 near Murrysville is closed because of flooding.

Vehicles are traveling through high water in Turtle Creek.

There were also reports of flooding at Eden Park Boulevard at Walnut Street in McKeesport.

Route 65 is closed near Kilbuck.

The Hot Metal Bridge is closed because of flash flooding.   Second Avenue is also closed.

The Best Buy in Monroeville is also reporting some flooding.
