Suspect Sought In Deadly Sheraden Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Emotions are running high in one local neighborhood after a shooting at a mobile phone store in Pittsburgh's West End left a young man dead today.

It happened just after 1 p.m. at the Foot Mobile store on Hillsboro Street in Sheraden.

According to police, the victim, 20-year-old Robert Barnes, a former basketball star who played at Langley High School, was found unresponsive on the floor of the store by officers. Officials say he had been shot in the right side of his torso.

Barnes was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the suspect fled the store following the shooting and so far no arrests have been made.

The suspect is described as a black male about 6'0" tall and was wearing a black t-shirt at the time of the shooting.
