Woman Killed In Route 40 Accident In Menallen Twp.

MENALLEN TOWNSHIP (KDKA) ― A Brownsville woman was killed in an accident late Saturday night.

It happened at just before midnight in Menallen Township at Route 40 and Searights Crossroads.

Police say 30-year old Carmen Higinbotham was struck by a vehicle along Route 40. 

Higinbotham was pronounced dead at the scene an hour later.

The Fayette County Coroner's Office is holding the cause of death pending some tests.

State police in Uniontown are investigating.
