6 Year-Old Killed In Lincoln-Larimer Fire

PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) ― A 6-year-old is dead and two other children are in the hospital after a two-alarm fire engulfed a home in Pittsburgh's Lincoln-Larimer overnight.

The fire began about 2:45 a.m. in the home in the 6400-block of Winslow Street.

Firefighters rescued three children from the burning building.

Isiah Marshman, 6, was later declared dead at Mercy Hospital.

A two-year-old girl is now in stable condition at Children's Hospital.

An 8-month-old infant appeared to be uninjured but was taken to Children's Hospital as a precaution.

The children's 29-year-old mother escaped.

Fire investigators have determined that the fire was caused by a pot of grease left on the stove.

A fund has been set up to help with Marshman's funeral expenses. Donations can be made at any Citizen's Bank.
