Coroner: Hikers Died From Blunt Force Trauma

SOMERSET COUNTY (KDKA) ― State Police in Somerset County continue to review evidence in the deaths of two hikers over the weekend.

Sara Baum, 24, a Texas native who had been living in Greensburg, and her friend, 25-year-old Chris Crady, from Ligonier, were found at the base of Beam Rocks at Laurel Summit State Park.

Officials say that it appears they fell between 20 feet and 60 feet.

Sources tell KDKA smashed sunglasses, a broken bottle and a sweatshirt were found at the top of the rock.

Anyone with information about their deaths is asked to contact State Police in Somerset.

Stay with KDKA for more details.
