Seneca Valley Senior Killed In Interstate 79 Crash

OHIO TWP. (KDKA) ― A Seneca Valley High School student is dead after a crash on Interstate 79 in Ohio Township.

State Police say 18 year-old Shannon Quail, of Cranberry Township, Butler County, was killed Sunday afternoon.

The accident began in the southbound lanes when Quail attempted to pass a tractor trailer.

Police say Quail's car hit the front of the tractor trailer then went across the median and struck a van traveling north.

The van driver suffered a minor injury.

The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.

Quail was a senior at Seneca Valley, where she played on the girls' lacrosse team.
