Driver Loses Control Of Car, Dies In Indiana Co.

RAYNE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) ― A woman is dead following a vehicle crash on Christmas Eve in Indiana County.

The accident happened near Skyline Drive in Rayne Township.

According to police, 60-year-old Paula R. Elkin, of Marion Center, was driving on an ash-covered roadway when she lost control of her vehicle.

Authorities say the car then slid down a hillside, striking two trees.

The victim had to be removed from the wreckage and was taken to the hospital.

Officials say she has died.
