Soggy Spring Takes Toll On Area Farms & Gardens

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― The soggy spring has caused a standstill for many Pennsylvania farmers.

By the end of the week area farmers and nurseries are hoping to get a chance to cut the hay and plant vegetables.

Farmers have put things on hold because of all the soggy soil.

Milk production is also down because it's been too cold for the pasture grass to grow high enough for the cows to get enough nutrition.
