Local Family Sues Beaver County Power Plant

BEAVER COUNTY (KDKA) ― First Energy is being sued by a local family.

Michael and Jessica Hartle say pollution from the company's coal-fired Bruce Mansfield power plant in Beaver County caused their daughter's hair loss and other health problems.

The plant spewed a black substance onto near-by homes and outdoor items.

A First Energy spokesman says attorneys for the utility have not had time to review the lawsuit.
