Jury For Poplawski Trial Coming From Dauphin Co.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― A jury from the Harrisburg area will determine the fate of a man accused of killing three Pittsburgh police officers in Stanton Heights.

Richard Poplawski is charged in the deaths of officers Eric Kelly, Paul Sciullo and Stephen Mayhle.

The officers were gunned down while responding to a domestic dispute at Poplawski's Stanton Heights home on April 4, 2009.

Police say Poplawski was armed with an AK-47 assault rifle and a bulletproof vest when he killed the officers.

The state supreme court ruled the jury will come from Dauphin County.

A trial date has not been set.
