A man in Nebraska is selling bracelets commemorating Pittsburgh's three fallen police officers but the Fraternal Order of Police says they are not official and they've ordered him to stop.
The city also has not authorized the use of the police seal on the bracelets.
"We will be sending them a letter to let them know that they aren't permitted to sell that with our seal on it," Pittsburgh Police Chief Nate Harper said.
He's sending a cease and desist order to TyeBand.com to stop selling the bracelets.
One of the bracelets was sent to Pittsburgh Police.
The man who sells the bracelets tells KDKA's Paul Martino says he started selling them after his son who was a police officer was killed.
He insists he gives the proceeds to charities like Boys and Girls Clubs and the National Law Enforcement Fund, but Pittsburgh Police are going to investigate.
Harper says they want to make sure the money goes to the families of the officers.
The website sells bracelets for police officers who are killed all over the country.
The bracelets sell for upwards of $40 each.
