With support for Pittsburgh's fallen officers continuing to pour in from all over the world, the Fraternal Order Of Police created a special memorial fund for those whom these three brave officers left behind.
During a news conference on Monday, Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl announced that anyone wishing to help the families of Officers Paul Sciullo II, Eric Kelly and Stephen Mayhle can make a donation to the
Pittsburgh Fallen Heroes Fund.
Officer Mayhle is survived by a wife, Shandra, and two daughters, Jennifer, 6, and Brooklyn, 3.
Officer Kelly is survived by a wife, Marena, and three daughters, Tameka, 22, Autumn, 16, and Janelle, 11.
Officer Sciullo is survived by his parents, Paul and Julia, and two sisters, Laura and Julia.
Mayor Ravenstahl says the public may designate how the money is spent.
"We encourage them to include that information, for example: 'for the children,' 'for the mothers,' 'for the widows,' et cetera," Ravenstahl added. "They can designate on the college fund for the children, if they so choose."
Donations earmarked for the
