Explosives Found At Home In Indiana, Pa.

INDIANA, Pa. (KDKA/AP) ― Emergency personnel in Indiana, Pa., evacuated residents within a 900-foot radius of a home as a precaution after the discovery of explosives in a home.

The Indiana County Emergency Management Agency says the explosives were found at about 9:20 p.m. Saturday at the Philadelphia Street home.

The Allegheny County Bomb Squad was called.

The county hazmat team and police and firefighters went door to door to tell residents to leave.

A temporary shelter was set up at the West Station along Indian Springs Road in White Township.

Motorists were diverted from surrounding streets while crews waited for the bomb squad.

Stay with KDKA for more details.
