6 Injured In Mercer County Truck, Buggy Crash
PERRY TWP. (KDKA) ―
Police say a drunk driver caused an accident in Mercer County on Saturday that left six people injured, including four small children.
Police say a vehicle driven by 38 year-old Jennifer Crenshaw, of Geneva, Ohio, crossed over the center line on Route 358 in Perry Township just before 7 p.m.
The SUV sheered off a utility pole then rolled and struck an Amish buggy.
Five people inside the buggy were ejected.
Benjamin Kempf, 29, of Clarks Mills, and four children under the age of six were injured.
Erma Kempf, 5, is in critical condition; Miriam Kempf, 1, is in fair conditon; David Kempf, 6, is in good condition and Melvin Kempf, 4, is also in good condition.
All are being treated at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Mr. Kempf was taked to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio.
Crenshaw suffered minor injuries and was treated and released at UPMC Greenville.
She is being charged with DUI and five counts of aggravated assault while DUI and other traffic offenses.
