Stolen Car Suspects Injured In Violent Crash

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― A carjacking overnight ended in a violent crash in Highland Park.

Police say two people stole a car on the north side around 12:30 a.m. and were driving the vehicle around the area at a high rate of speed.

They lost control of the vehicle and it flipped over near the corner of North Euclid Avenue and Ionic Way in Highland Park.

The suspects were arrested and were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

At least one of those suspects is in critical condition.

Some witnesses say the vehicle was traveling 100 miles per hour just before the crash.

The force of the crash snapped a telephone pole.
