Police Probe Car Break-Ins, Thefts In Butler Co.

OAKLAND TWP. (KDKA) ― Police in Butler County are investigating a rash of burglaries and thefts from cars in Oakland Township.

It happened Saturday at multiple homes along Chicora Road and Oakland Drive.

State Police say someone entered unlocked garages and vehicles and stole money, iPods, cell phones and GPS units.

Residents are advised to be diligent in locking vehicles, securing buildings and removing valuables from their vehicles.

Anyone with information concerning the break-ins should contact the Butler barracks of the Pennsylvania State Police.
