Rehab Project In Works For 3 Local Bridges

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Three downtown bridges will be getting some work done as part of a new project.

Officials say the Roberto Clemente, Andy Warhol and Rachel Carson Bridges will be painted, their sidewalks will be repaired and the decks will be replaced.

The three bridges span the Allegheny River, connecting downtown with the North Shore.

Crews say lane closures are expected on all the bridges, but repairs will only occur on one bridge at a time.

Officials say they expect the rehab project to take about two years to complete.
